I understand why they carry Nebraska Corn Husker football since they have a huge following down here. But why do they carry Buffalo Bills football games? Is there a huge Buffalo Fan base down here that I don't know about. I can think of a few NFL teams that have a bigger fan base in the valley then the bills do.


Anyone have any ideas why they carry them????
 
I was shocked to hear the local bills play by play today. I am originally from buffalo,ny so I loved it but was also puzzled why they did that. Was pretty cool to hear promos for 97 Rock in buffalo though on a phoenix radio station ;-)

So can I: Every team but the Cardinals. :-D

University of Nebraska football is carried by KDUS because, IIRC, a Nebraska alumni group is buying the time. I think they started out on KCKY when they were a sports station.

They were available cheap?

AFAIK, there are no territorial restrictions on out-of-town NFL teams on radio. KGME (back when they were on 1360) used to carry the Bears and a couple of other teams in the mid '90s. That stopped after Clear Channel bought the station.
