KDUV FM Fresno

I was talking with a friend today who told me that KDUV Fresno/Visalia just had another major book. Seems like this station is able to succeed in ways most religious stations only wish they could. So what is it that these guys have figured out that the rest of the industry can't quite grasp? Is it that they're live and local 24/7? Is the music some unique blend? What can others take from KDUV's example and institute at their own stations?

They seem to be one of the more successful, if not the most successful Christian CHR in the country right now-it'd probably be considered a Hot AC station in the mainstream, but they are playing DJ Maj and John Reuben.

I'd be interested to hear how they position themselves on the air.<P ID="signature">______________

Remember, most christian stations have really crappy signals too.

Are the on-air people at KDUV allowed to say words like "Jesus" on the air or do they merely let the music say His name? That could make a difference with the people who enjoy CCM.
