KDWN 1st birthday for Beasley

I b elieve it was 1 year ago this week Beasley started the new KDWN. They started with the morning news hosted by John Shaffer and Dick Shannon. Now Shannon is gone and Shaffer is on late morning to late afternoon. Nate Tannenbaum sole morning anchor well known in LV and sounds great. Also gone Levin,Howard,and Bohannon with the expanded Heidi Harris show bumbing Boortz to 7-9pm about a 14 hour tape delay. Repeating first hour of Savage a good move for people who can not catch it at 3. With Levin gone will ABC-Citadel pressure KXNT to carry it or lose Hannity when contract is up as allegedly has happened in other markets. KDWN now has about 12 hours a day of programs from TRN. Jim Dallas still has some connection with KDWN.heard him last weekend as host of a paid broadcast with a lawyer. It would be a good move to put him on from 7-9pm in the event KXNT is forced to drop local evening talk and even if they don:t there is still a place for him as KDWN continues to fine tune its lineup.
