KDWN Bloodbath

I count at last 4 deleted people... you'd think they would realign the page?
http://kdwn.com/index.php?page=31&sid=uo2mufot7c27d8n66g3737i4dtbg0laj

What happened to the attractive brunette who was getting so much national TV exposure? "Sabrina??? something?"

Sabrina Sabbagh. She seemed to be a rising star, I'm surprised they got rid of her. The three other faces that are no longer on that webpage are:Charlotte Burke, Brian Shapiro, and Ira Clayton.

They did NOT cut based on salary... the highest paid people are still there. Sabrina is young, she couldn't have had that much experience... I doubt she was making more than most at the station. Others let go were also pretty young and relatively new to the industry and did not command high salaries either.

I predicted all of this. Maybe they'll find gold on the transmitter site. Maybe a Casino mogul- like the one who bought the TI or the Cannery will buy it to promote their properties.. the signal is good all over the west. I wonder if three hours of Levine will replace the bugsprayer on the other station? I bet someone puts IMUS on in the mornings as well.

I gave up on KDWN long ago. First Neal Boortz was on for 3 hours, then 2, then he was moved to nights, then cut again , and now I think he's gone entirely. And as someone else observed, the local news has been cut back. Apparently, Beasley never heard of consistency. Just keep moving stuff around until nobody knows what is on when is not a great way to attact listeners.

Dennis Miller Mutters, Neil Boers was better. The old kdawn was good for commic relief, I like their corn ball calllers. Other than Vegas and Barstow, is Jerry Doyle on live anywhere but Vegas? He gets some of the old Kdawn crackpots calling in and that is it. Maybe he should get Phil Hindre to call in as a fake caller/s. Since Oreilly is gone in three weeks, maybe KDOX will pick Neil Boerstzzz. Neil told his listners not to finance autos' just pay cash- I bet that will sell alot of car dealer ads.)

hey, mred, I resemble that remark! ;D Cornball??? Surely you jest!!! ::)

But in all seriousness, Beasley has really screwed up a powerful signal with crapola programming--even Savage is beginning to wear thin on me, too! Maybe those of us who really care about quality radio can put together some funds to buy the station & show beasley how it's done--I nominate Jay F or yourself to head the group! :) Am radio is going via the way of thedinosaur, I'm afraid. :p

Some would say the same thing about FM radio.

I know they aren't looking to sell right now, but It's within the realm of possibility that for as long as this earth exists Beasley will never be able to sell KDWN for more than the $17 Million they paid for it.

Since so many advertisers won't touch Savage, he now advertises his own self-published book, full of the same old boring stories he's told 15 million times...If I hear about "dead man's pants" one more time I'll die.
But none the less a good way to keep the money coming in.

I hope kdox goes with Boertzzz, I'd hate to hear more of the squeeky Tammy Bruce.
