This is why this is far more complicated than this lawyer may have imagined. A consumer may complain about not being able to hear a particular radio station. But then again, there are no guarantees in terms of radio reception. I've lived in towns where I can't receive AM or FM stations licensed to those towns due to various geographical issues. In the final analysis here, we're talking about radio station reception, not the brakes or the tires. Very different things. And if a typical law suit has to do with injury, it will be tough to make a case.
 
I'm not sure recalls of HD radios are all that big of a deal. I've owned a few cars that suffered radio recalls for one reason or another.

It just seems odd that people are making such a big deal out of faulty HD equipment when for years cars had flakey iPod inputs (which always made me mad because I'll die before I buy an Apple product, just give me a damn aux input!)
 
Sorry to bump an old thread, but this was too good to pass up. I use Gmail and when one of the topic replies came up for an HD Radio topic, I got a bit of targeted advertising at the top of the inbox. From Keefe Bartels.

Looks like they're trying to advertise their scheme to get more traction:

Since the ads are targeted and will only come up when someone searches for 'HD radio' or similar, I doubt they'll be getting many pageviews. ;)
 
When I bought my car, I expected the radio to play the format that I wanted to hear. Since there are no local stations broadcasting all-Greek music, I think they should have warned me...in writing ;) .

How much paperwork do these guys expect us to read and sign?
