Longtime local radio personality Bill Keeler will return to morning radio, according to a press release.
The DJ – historically known for his pranks and shock-jock type antics — will move Friday, June 26, from his current afternoon slot from 3 to 6 p.m. on WXUR to the station’s 5:30 to 10 a.m. slot.
Frank McBride, a local DJ absent from the radio scene over the last few years will take over the 3 to 7 p.m. “Bill Keeler Radio Show” personality Justin Cortese will take o n the 7 p.m. to midnight shift.
Imus in the Morning – which currently holds the morning spot – will move to WNRS, 1420 AM and ESPN – weekdays from 6 to 9 a.m.
Music on WXUR also will change, playing music aimed toward a 25- to 54-year-old demographic, featuring music from artists such as Eric Clapton, Bon Jovi, Nickelback, U2 and The Who.
