I have to say I am a little surprised that no one has put anything on this board about all the changes with Keeler. I have never met Mr. Keeler and don’t know much about him. I heard him a couple times when he was on WRCK and I thought his show was better than the market deserved (ok maybe it was a Brother Wease ripp off). I have seen his TV show about a dozen times. I don’t know the politics about why he left WRCK and don’t really care. However, he does seem to be big news in the Utica-Rome-Syracuse media so why hasn’t anything been posted here about his recent activities. I found out on another site he moved his TV show over to WKTV –BIG NEWS and now he’s back on the radio –BIG NEWS. Seems like someone in the Utica area would have found these items out and posted them here.
I would find that far more interesting than the personal attacks that this board has become famous for.
 
It's kind of old news by now. He was on WKTV months ago and moved over to Kiss-FM beginning of the year.

Now, anytime I've seen the TV show, it's just tape from the radio show. Kinda like when Howard Stern's show was on E. Blah. I'm not as impressed with Keeler today as I was "back in the day" when Rock 107 was a CHR station.

And let's not forget, he wasn't "asked" onto WKTV or Kiss FM. He's leasing the time from both stations and selling his own ads to pay for it. Not sure I'd consider that to be a huge deal at 2AM on WKTV, and look at the ratings for Kiss-FM. Been going down for a couple years now. It'll be interesting to see how Keeler affects the ratings now, but to start out, I doubt Kiss was charging top dollar for Keeler to take the time. After all, it also saves them from paying someone else to do the show.

Don't get me wrong though -- I admire Keeler for what he's managed to pull off. I'd love to know how Levine really thinks about dumping Keeler now that we've all seen what he's done for himself. Even though he's buying the time, I suppose he must be doing well with his own sponsors, or else he wouldn't be able to afford it. I only wish the show wasn't just a televised version of the radio show. (If they're still doing original stuff just for TV, I guess I've just had the dumb luck of tuning in at the wrong times.)
