But 101 might be the temp where the Temp-Probe is located at.
(Like on a window-sill or such) and the building's re-radiation is making it
hotter.
A lot of stations I know put the temp probe in a shady spot to prevent it from happening...
What the NWS used to do, and may still do it, is you put the probe in an insulated tube, and you blow a fan into the tube from the outside.
You get the temp from the moving air, not the radiated temp.

You would think by now they would know this and do something about it. Seems like Cox and ABC 6 could care less anyway. I'm not surprised. The only thing that's always live on the RI News Channel outside of the ABC 6 live news and they can't even get it right. Why do they even bother? RI News Channel is the shabbiest attempt at an all news channel I have ever seen. Why can't Cox give us New England Cable News instead of this crap channel? I don't know how they keep this station on the air. What a freakin waste! <P ID="signature">______________
