Excuse me, Citadel? What's up with that? Apparently I missed all the drama on this one.

Well its good news that Salt finally bought it. I can see a simulcast setup with KGLD in the near future.

Maybe Citadel had a dispute with Salt or Gleiser.. or they wanted KEES to simulcast the ticket, or to go dark for good to upgrade one of their stations?

BTW whats the lowdown on KWRD being off? Xmitter problems?

I remember reading, probably 10-12 years ago, that a company called Broadcasting Partners was an investor in Gleiser, and Citadel bought BP. If that's true, maybe it has something to do with that investment.

You're right. The Citadel purchase of Broadcast Partners happened in 1999. That much I remember, but I didn't realize that there was still some sort of Citadel connection. Fact is, it apparently got serious enough that Citadel filed a lawsuit against Gleiser Communications earlier this year. Without access to court records, of course, one could only guess they worked things out since Citadel filed the motion to withdraw their opposition to the sale.
