KEGL 97.1 The Eagle is in announcement teasing mode today, during Cindy Scull's morning show today, she announced that there will be a announcement happening at 4 PM on Monday, during The second hour of the Russ Martin Show. now in recent months and year, Russ Martin has had a lot of health issues and drama where he has hospitalized numerous time including recent surgery on his head for a subdural hematoma in his head and a hernia in the usual places of hernias on top of his recently health issues which includes a blood, bad illnesses, and possible PTSD from the home invasion. last May, Russ started doing 2 hours of his show at home from 4 to 6 PM while the rest of the RMS crew does the 3-4 and 6-7 PM hours without him all after taking a 2 month leave of absence while trying to get a new deal with iHeartMedia corporate. and this past August, there was a few days of Russ being so incoherent to work the full 2 hours that they went to best of after a hour. the bigger question is, is the Eagle about to pull the plug on Russ' show or is this a teaser of a concert to celebrate 10 years of Russ being on the Eagle's current incarnation, he rejoined The Eagle in 2010.

so is Russ on the way out, is a concert to be announce to celebrate an anniversary, i guess we need to tune in on Monday.
 
the announcement is, Ben and Skin has joined KEGL 97.1 The Eagle roster, starting next Monday and will be 2-5 PM, RMS will move to 5-7 as a 2 hour show.

The Eagle is not a classic rock station, they play newer rock, even some Alt rock acts too. Lone Star is a true classic rock station.

yeah, The Eagle during 3-7ish for years has been just talk, they used to play 3 songs per hour during the RMS for the first few years back on The Eagle, but I think it was phased out either in 2013 or 2014 as Russ possibly hated the newer rock that plays on The Eagle.

so it might be possible for Ben & Skin to play music before the start of the segments, but i know the RMS won't play it anymore.
