What a freaky joke.I knew this whole thing is a stunt. Maybe the big announcement of the cowboys “landing” on 97.1 at 10am? 😂

I’ll go out on a limb and say I was one of the very first (maybe after Loverofradio) to be almost 100% certain Eagle was coming back, so I’ll have a spare plate of crow in the morning to enjoy just in case.Remember, quite a few of you on here were 1 billion percent sure that rock wouldn’t land on 97.1 again. I honestly think that this is just a mistake, but if it isn’t, this wouldn’t be the first time that a station teased a format change and led everyone in the wrong direction.
How’s WCHI’s playlist? Never heard of themI’ll go out on a limb and say I was one of the very first (maybe after Loverofradio) to be almost 100% certain Eagle was coming back, so I’ll have a spare plate of crow in the morning to enjoy just in case.
However, I don’t believe my prediction it may be patterned after WCHI is accurate, just because Lonestar 92.5 is down the hall.
If The Eagle does come back, which I’m sure it will…I hope it’s not the same. I don’t want to hear stuff that Lone Star is already playing. However, I think it’ll probably be very similar to what it was before the flip to The Freak happened, considering they’re using the same voice guy and a lot of the same music in the stunting montage.I’ll go out on a limb and say I was one of the very first (maybe after Loverofradio) to be almost 100% certain Eagle was coming back, so I’ll have a spare plate of crow in the morning to enjoy just in case.

we just heard the last of the freakOkay, back to stunting! 😎
This is not about (the small number of) listeners. It is about ratings and revenue. As the market changes ethnically and culturally, the ability of certain formats to survive and prosper changes.Speaking from a listener perspective, I feel a little bad for the listeners who like rock music. iHeart has taken them through alot. "We giveth The Eagle, we taketh The Eagle away". About as bad as a boyfriend or girlfriend that keeps leaving their mate, and asking to come back. You can't trust them to stick around...
