KEGL Stunting

They don't have a stream up currently. If I had known they were flipping TODAY, I'd have changed my stream at home.

Ditto. Sure, let KLUV take that entire 4.6 and keep it for themselves, and make a #1 station out of something that caters to 50+. Wonder who's on the take at CC/CBS that keeps them from competing head-to-head. Don't they have anti-trust laws to protect consumers from such antics?

Let's see...KEGL will get some audience back from KDGE, which is the last thing CC should want. And they might draw away a piece of that 0.9 from The Bone. So what does that add up to, a 1.3? There's a reason they killed the Eagle the first time...listeners grew up, moved on, had no patience for voicetracking on a modern rock station, and turned their backs on the local scene and Robt Miguel and the gang that held the last few threads of the station together. IF this is a sign-back-on-as-if-nothing-happened, they need to be schooled. Returning KEGL in its 2004 form is a waste of time.

So what NEW can they offer this time?!?

Vince Richards shifts from CC Houston to become ops manager for the Dallas cluster, where he'll program KEGL and alternative "The Edge" KDGE.

I wonder if Lex & Terry will move to 97.1? They really don't "fit" on the Edge.
 
Think about all the minivans in and around Frisco that are tuned to 97.1 at a loud volume for christmas music and the surprise awaiting them today.

can anyone record this? I would really like to hear it? Is it like it was in the 80s-early 90s or a typical cc programmed station with 75 songs over and over and over and over again? If its like the real eagle was welcome back. if its like wrno new orleans was pre flip to talk than who cares!

My off air signal of 97.1 sucks where I am. So don't pay attention to the audio quality, but you can hear the music at least. Using winamp open the "location" (ctrl-l) and type in http://km5r.kicks-ass.org:8000 and you SHOULD get the stream -for those of you who can't hear it off air in the metroplex that is.
 
Rock is back in Dallas? What? Did they finally realize that all the rock shows coming through town where selling tickets WITHOUT airplay ????? Wow! These radio guys are genius!
 
well they're definitely playing a fair amount of kdge's artists..... but the voiceover chick i just heard has GOT to go. oh wait, i forgot, only MEN like rock music. never mind.

How ironic there's someone from a CC IP address listening to my stream. Can't y'all put that in the overhead PA today or something?
