What's up with The Eagle's transmitter? A lot of static and interference.

Wonder if it is powered down for maintenance or to another station on the tower?

Don't know, is this the second time this year that this happened?

As a wild guess (and I have no contacts to verify or deny), the CP was granted within the past few days to both KTVT and KTXA to complete their digital TV changes (finalizing KTVT to RF-19 and KTXA to RF-29). With the nice weather, maybe CBS is trying to get the tower work done [it shares with KERA and KEGL] before the holidays.

...or maybe not...since its the final few days of sweeps.

KEGL has not been on the KTVT/KERA tower in many, many years. It is part of the master antenna on Cowboy Tower along with KZPS, KLTY, KLUV, KVIL KKDA-FM and KHKS.

Yep...I made the mistake of looking at the ASRN of 1047708 for the topmost listing in the FCC's FM query for CDBS application number 290172. At the bottom of the query results is the listing for KEGL's facility on Cowboy with a CDBS application number of 1274086.

There are two listings for ``FM 'Full Service' FM station or application'' with a status of ``Licensed''. My botch was not drilling down to the end of the query result set.
