Keith Brooks hunger strike

Is Flash so bad that Keith doesn't get a post. After an article in the Bee today, saying how he was strong armed into his contract and won't be let out, he has staged a hunger strike till they let him out, yet he was mysteriously missing from his shift today. Coincidence.....I think not

I thought the story might have been a "plant," a work by the Flash folks -- they're pretty creative over there -- until I saw the quote from CBS Radio GM Steve Cottingim.

Perhaps Mr. Brooks might be best served to actually READ the paperwork before he signs it. Or, have a lawyer scan it for him. Believe it or not, it's cheaper than not eating.

Yeah. Normally I believe EVERYTHING I read in the paper. (LOL) C'mon. Have you heard this guy? He's a bonafide egotistical jacka$*@. My gut tells me there's more to the story. Maybe you're right - it could be a stunt. Still, the Bee should refund people's money for wasting their time with something that unimportant. I'd rather hear about Adam Carolla, thanks.

My apologies to Mr. Brooks for coming across like I had insider information. That's not the case, nor did I intend to allude to that. I only meant that there are always more sides to the story than just one and I didn't buy into the slant - unless it was a stunt. The comment about his personality was perhaps inappropriate, but this behavior is similar to that of when he was at KWOD and Infinity. I would never wish ill on him or his family.

I'm sure you meant no harm and I am sure no harm is done. Keep in mind that He probably makes about 15 to 20 thousand less than the average afternoon jock in this town. Was lied to, disrespected in a room full of employee's by the president, and threatened by staff at corporate both present and past.

I can assure you that even though there is always 2 sides to a story this one is pretty one sided. After literally dozens of employee's have been released quit or have been fired there are plenty of First Broadcasting casualties in this city who are ready and willing to come to the aid of a brother who has been the sole provider of ratings for that station. I only have insight because of my relationship with certain people. It is a sad case that has been devistating for Keith's family. You would never know it by listening to him on air, but I assure you after the insensativity showed him this year by that company KB has every right to be as big a dick on air as possible. After all, that's what they almost pay him a decent wage for...
