Keith Olbermann Goes After Bill O'Reilly - Oh Really ?

Yup, Olbermann dedicated a good five minutes to going after O'Reilly tonight on Countdown. O'Reilly basically encouraged the Islamo- fascist to blow up buildings in San Francisco because of a proposed ballot initiative to limit military recruiting in the city. Sad, O'Reilly attacks the people of San Francisco for exercising the very democratic rights 2000 PLUS American Soldiers in Iraq have died for and for which over 13,000 American Soldiers have been wounded or injured in that same effort.

O'Reilly is trying to back track on his on air remarks but he had more luck with the Loofer sponge episode than this.

Keith Olbermann compared Bill O'Reilly to Senator Joe McCarthy in his remarks. That should bring out the Hibernian defense team...

And so, the battle has been engaged between MSNBC and O'Reilly and Fox.

The people in San Francisco are demanding that FOX fire Bill O'Reilly and Westwood One cancel his talk show.

O'Reilly is a loud mouth who had little or no credibility when he was here in Boston broadcasting on the local station and then he moved on to the tabloid "Inside Edition".

Why should anyone give him credibility today. O'Reilly is just tall, loud and obnoxious. He was then and is now.
Edited by PaulYovino on 11/16/05 02:34 PM.

Re: Keith Obermann Goes After Bill O'Reilly - Oh Really ?

Lets make sure we have it right...and make sure we understand why O'Reilly is getting the full treatment...

SF never was banning Military Recruiting...they dont want it at city campuses and want to provide other alternatives...Recruiting is allowed everywhere else...O'Reilly tried to make SF to ban recruiting city wide....a very large falsehood by O'Reilly and very common.

O'Reilly instead of being the person he paints himself to be, does the sneaky thing and covers up his own words, and tries to backtrack....these are qualities he is so quick to malign others for doing....its not "Factor-like" to act as he has...a good demonstration of his hypocricy...

Keith barely had to try to "get" O'Reilly, it was all to easy and Keith must have a ball doing this.....and so will Stephanie Miller

As BO opens his mouth wider, he creates more room to insert the other foot. Poor Bill, he just keeps tripping over his own ego. Maybe he'll pick up the phone and start hitting on another of his female producers--that'll make him feel better. Surely by now his bank account can take another multi-million dollar hit to buy her off.

I love political posts

Because that's what this really comes down to. You don't like Bill ORielly because he is not "left" leaning. If he was a liberal talk host saying the same thing, then it would all be ok.

Re: I love political posts

Since when is suggesting that terrorist blow up buildings in San Francisco conservative. Seems quite radical to me as well as very irresponsible.

That's because he NEVER practices what he preaches to us Liberals.

Any regular viewer of Keith knows there is no love lost between him, O'Reilly, and Fox News. He takes great pleasure poking Bill's crazy and zany antics on his show.

Unfortunately, MSNBC couldn't find an audience if they renamed their news channel MSPORN. They have more identities trapped inside of their NewsFort than Linda Blair in the Exorcist.

Perhaps if the news channel actually carried news instead of Sucrets Cosby and Scarborough County and Hardpundits with Chris Matthews, they might have some actual viewers. Olberman's show is at least entertaining.

Free publicity. O'Reilly won't be going anywhere until the last viewer turns the lights off and closes the door.

I am not sure how many people actually feel he has credibility. They watch, in part, just to see what antics Bill will get himself into each weeknight.

If Cosby has a medical condition that causes her voice to sound as irritating as it is, her superiors need to either get her some help or get her off the air. After hearing her for five minutes (or less) she's no longer tolerable. Then there are her alleged "journalistic" skills............... Where to start the trouble shooting?

Did you even watch his show? He NEVER said that.
Not once.
