Kelis "Acapella"/"4th of July"

I was checking out the radio air-play for the new Kelis tunes, and sadly, I don't see too many stations (besides C89 of course) picking up what I think are two really good songs that fall into this ever growing pop/dance category that isn't getting the attention it deserves. If I had to choose, I like "4th of July" better, but both songs are definitely radio worthy!

KZON was playing it during a Friday Night mix but they stopped when that live club broadcast was removed. I posted about it somewhere back in March or April. I was also unhappy to see so many stations not playing it and began to lose hope after not seeing it pick up over the past few months. I think it should receive more attention, although the track I've been playing most by Kelis is "home". I never heard "4th of July", but I did see that on a playlist on London's hit station.

Many stations actually played it back in January/February, KIIS-FM and I know Channel 933 played it on their mixshows.

I've only heard the tracks on mixshows as well. Well, let's just hope that "4th of July" gets some mixshow airplay this weekend.....for crying out loud, it is 4th of July weekend! LOL

I'm just wondering when "dirty talk" by Wynter Gordon is supposed to be released to radio, or if I should just give up hope now. I remember almost exactly one year ago today I heard La Roux "bulletproof" on Power 106 along with Tyrese "take me away" with Logan De Gaulle and after a few months, I began to lose hope on any of them officially making it to radio. Six months later, one of them started playing, which you've probably guessed already that it was La Roux. The same thing with "Rock that body" by Black Eyed Peas. Just when I thought they'd never hit, it finally did a few months later. Now I'm wondering if this will also happen with "dirty talk" by Wynter Gordon? I'm having my doubts that Kelis "acapella" will go any further than it currently is.

Dirty Talk has been out since late March, I only hear it on mixshows though.

Was it an official nationwide radio release, or just a release meaning it's "more available" now? I still haven't even seen it on any dj promo service cd's either. I remember back when Taio Cruz and La Roux were "released" last year, it still didn't show up on promo service cd's until it became a hit this year, in the U.S.

Really, I don't know the answer, but hoping there's more to "dirty talk" and mainstream acceptance than meets the eye, which is why I'm asking this question with a bunch of follow up statements that I'm presenting based on my own wishful thinking.

Oh, and when was Agnes "release me" released?
