Kelli Wiese out at KYTX?

Probably only the first of several changes and/or departures. Obviously, there are several on-air people waiting in the wings doing weekends who will move into weeknight anchor slots in the near future. It's a necessity if CBS 19 is going to be competitive in the market.

Probably only the first of several changes and/or departures. Obviously, there are several on-air people waiting in the wings doing weekends who will move into weeknight anchor slots in the near future. It's a necessity if CBS 19 is going to be competitive in the market.

My question is this: what does Lisa have that Kelli doesn't that would make LS more competitive than KW? Not trying to start a riot, but I didn't see anything wrong with KW (or LS, for that matter).
And is Kelli still in the East Texas area?

Yes she is.
By the way, Kelli decided to leave CBS19 on her own accord. Morale's not the best there right now. Look for a few other folks to leave or be replaced.
Oh yeah, the dog's history pretty soon, too.

Not surprised. I figured it to be a sweeps thing, though I'm not familiar with exactly when those dates are. Also, I know that there are only so many "Stormy's Weather Word of the Day" words. Oh well...fun while it lasted. Will the next varmit be a CAT????

All I'll say about that is thank goodness.......while I think Stormy was good....it's making KYTX look awfully silly.....
Aside from Stormy, the only other thing I don't like about KYTX is the "Sports Idol" contest.....as someone who's known so many people who have gone through college and have taken broadcast journalism and sports reporting classes, it's a big insult in my opinion to those who work hard and slave away in the field and have the experience necessary to work in the business.
I've been watching the competition over the last couple of weeks.....half of those candidates obviously can't perform well in front of the camera....they've been making me laugh! They have some good candidates, but most of them are just laughable.
If KYTX wants to make themselves look bad.....this contest is the way to do it. It's a good way to ruin your station's creditablity.
