I can't answer that, but I do think Kelly Clarkson should have just been a dance artists rather than a pop/rock artist.
I hope she has a remix album before too long.

Not that she's my favorite artist or anything, but I'm pretty sure Kelly's pleased with the path she's chosen. She's sold over 4 million copies of her latest album in the US alone.

I'm sure that's true.
I guess I should have been more clear and said that I would have preferred her as a dance artist rather than pop/rock.

From what I have read, Kelly is a Dance fan, and she likes her Remixed Material. The thing is, she was the American Idol, and they did not Approve of Kelly being an Exclusively Dance Artist, they wanted to do what was tried and proven, which is POP/Rock type stuff. Im sure Kelly would have still been popular as Marketed Dance Artist, but it would greatly take away from her Airplay, at Adult, and Modern leaned stations, therefore less exposure, and less album sales. Not what American Idol wants.
