I had not listened to the radio for a few months, and had not listened to B-98.5 for at least a year.

Much to my chagrin, astonishment, and great perturbment, I tuned in today and did not hear Steve McCoy on middays on B-98.5. This is like Ginger Rogers without Fred Astaire, the Statue of Liberty without a torch, and the Waffle House without hash browns. How DARE they?

Anybody know where Steve McCoy is?

Although, I kinda envy Burnsy; he has no recollection of Denny Radio.
 
Your telling me. I tuned to 94.1 the other day, and was like what is this Star 94 nonsense! Where did my beloved 94Q go? :p
 
Um, I did preface this by saying I haven't been listening to radio a long time. But, please feel free to insult me and have fun at my expense. I deserve it. Thanks for all your help. ;D
 
I heard Boortz might be laving GST for WSB. Why would he leave such a powerhouse line-up for a lesser competitor?

Who are you missing? Kelly McCoy or Steve McCoy, contrary to popular belief they are two different people. Not that I can help though, it wasn't my turn to watch them.
 
If you are refering to Kelly McCoy, he was on B98.5 this afternoon like he has been for 22 years.

If you are refering to Steve McCoy, we don't know the whole story about what happened over at Star 94 (and we may never know). Steve McCoy may never work in radio again. He may also land a gig at the end of his noncompete. We won't know until it happens.

I hear Kelly McCoy Voice Tracked like 18 hours a day seven days a week. Voted freakin #1 at work again!!

I heard that Newsradio 640 will become "Planet Radio". It sounds like that might be the thing to get WGST in front of WSB. Also heard that Sean Hanity will leave WGST to got to New York to do some talk show there.
 
DOH! I meant Kelly McCoy, B-98.5. By far, the best mechanics of any jock in any market in 30 years of listening to radio.

Apparently Steve and Vikki is a 34 year-old female who lives in Atlanta. I don't know if Steve McCoy would know anything about Kelly McCoy. Maybe Steve and Kelly are the same person? You notice when Kelly's alter-ego Steve was on air, "Kelly McCoy" was never on the air at the same time! Oh yeah there's that radiothon thing that Star 94 does annually, but McCoy could have voicetracked his afternoon shift at B98.5 as "Kelly" so he could be live on the radiothon on Star as "Steve".

Did anyone notice that Gary McKee's myspace page is no longer up? I think it was taken down shortly after 94Q flipped to Star. That actually was one of the failings of 94Q, they took almost as long as Rock 100.5 to finally get a webpage up.

Hey in case you aren't looking at your calender, baseball on WSB is right around the corner. I am sure Skip, Pete, Don and Joe have some great things planned.

Three best fake names: Neil Millman, Roddy Freeman and Rodney Ho. I mean really. (note to self, add my name to my dictionary so it doesn't come up misspelled.)
