David Guetta currently has two of his productions on top 40 and even rhythmic radio. He's doing pretty well right now, so lets hope he can "keep himself in the game" and invite teammates to play along! A lot of his stuff right now is really pushing it for mainstream radio. That borderline is really being crossed between pop and original dance content. I wonder if many people who don't know dance too much can tell that "I gotta feeling" is definitely an electronic production? This is no "womanizer" or "disturbia" thing going on here, but the artist and style of singing in "I gotta feeling" may confuse some into seeing it as regular pop. That song itself is getting very well promoted with certain commercials - that people will see VERY OFTEN! Lets see if any of the David Guetta productions manage to make it to the next NOW Music compilation series! I haven't been keeping up with NOW lately, but as far as I can see, if David makes it on #32, it will be the first time in a while an established / straight up dance producer has his productions on there! Each release since #29 seems to have been pushing slightly closer to having some house style dance sounding content. Maybe within the next two releases, it will actually happen!
Kelly Rowland on FOX is VERY good, because there are still millions of people out there who aren't even aware enough about her song to help it. Some probably have heard it, but don't know it's her. Hmmm, A meaningful dance song with no trace of rap in it becoming successful! Sometimes I wonder what this world is coming to. The wonders never cease!
