Now we can put KDF format change rumors to bed

No chance KDF changes formats now. Not at all.
______________

And we can also put those rumors to bed about waiting to bring in a former ABC Radio exec.

The good news: I was really thinking they'd just have done this in the first place. Wonder what took them so long? Maybe they require a certain period at the interim helm for promotions of this type?

The bad news: On one level, like NSSB, I expect nothing to change now. But on the other hand, I know of more than one guy who has come in a similar manner into a position like this, and all they want is a chance to prove themselves. And every now and then, one of them succeeds.

Just remember, I stand behind my previous statements. You don't
get out of Nashville following the status quo. Will they change?
I dunno. Should they change? Hell yes. They are and will continue
to be toast. Competition they are NOT! Enough said. Oh, and can
anyone now shaking their head tell me why WSIX sounds more like the
Wolf on a weekly basis. (CR is exclude from commenting!)
Edited by tibbs on 04/19/06 05:11 AM.

Kelly ONE OF US

Everyone on here who has worked their way up or worked hard and didn't get this type of opportunity should be rooting for Dave. He's someone who has been there and done that. Congradulations to one of the guys who paid his dues and the door opened. May he have the wisdom to make the right choices and use the experience he has to make the right calls.

It is nice to see they didn't bring in an out of market want a be that would make radical changes without any local knowledge. Kelly might make some moves and might be forced to make a format change. If he does, he will do well with it. I'm sure he won't tolerate some of the shoddy programming and x's and 0's that we hear on the zone. Namely all the drop outs in their remote broadcasts (either game broadcasts or live remotes)

As the ops dir. Dave has aways been over what you call the "shoddy programming" from day one of The Zone. The only drop outs are from ISP on the Vandy games. As for "all the drop outs in their remote broadcasts" you talking crazy. IF they happen, and this just in, they happen at EVERY station from time to time they get fixed fast. I recall you saying something like this a wile back and you got put straight then as well. Dawgs tell us could you not get a job at the Zone? Did you get let go from the Zone? Who done you wrong man? What? You ( and others) have got it bad for them over on 2nd Ave. Why do you keep on with all of your crap? Sure they can do better. Every station can do better but they just keep the money rolling in and the numbers still are strong. Oh I know you didn't do well on the B.U.D Zone show! :) Come on man give it a rest! As my mama always said. "If you can't say something nice then shut the F*&k up" I just love my mama!
