Ken Barlow's first day on the job

OK OK... I know you will all yell at me and say "let's not judge new talent based on their first day on the job"... but I was less than impressed with Ken Barlow today. Sure, he gave a competent forecast, and his presentation was fine... But with all the hype, and with the fact that CBS4 fired Ed Carroll to bring in someone from out of town, I expected something more from Ken... I expected him to show some dynamic personality or some amazing communications skills that would make him truly stand out. Maybe this will show over time... but based on day one (what I was able to watch online, since I'm not in Boston at the moment), he seems no better than Ed Carroll, who was also a fine forecaster.

What does everyone else think?

Separated At Birth? [Transfer From Boston Radio Board]

Barry Burbank and the new WBZ TV 4 weatherman, Ken Barlow.
Are they related? Even have the same presentations - efficient and very professional but no Bruce Schwoegler or even Ed Carroll.
