Burns is producing and directing the series of 10 to 12 hour shows for PBS. That seems like a
really long production time (5 years).

PBS is also re-broadcasting his CIVIL WAR (1990) series April 3-7 to commemorate the the 150th
anniversay of the war.

First instinct: It better be good. Second instinct: Probably will, with Burns.

Third and final instinct: What a complicated subject, and one that only Burns may be able to capture. I am willing to wait for a fair, accurate view of went on there, and, hopefully, the politics of why it happened.
