Ken Charles Alert !

As it should, afterall, WIOD has the best signal in the area. Forget about Ken Charles, Clear Channel and all of that when it comes to an emergency, put all of that aside. However, if they don't do a good job during an emergency, then somebody needs to be called on the carpet.

As I understand that flap, it's the live broadcasting of emergency alerts from the local OEM that's at issue. Those county officials -- all Democrats -- didn't want the same station that carries Limbaugh to be allowed to carry those local alerts and live news briefings from OEM officials. It has nothing to do with the station's news coverage.

Limbaugh is right. That's partisan politics going completely out of control.

Or, as you all seem to omit. The service could be simply carried on a competing station and nobody would be in danger. When Ken didn't like things here, he would boycott them no matter what the listeners thought. He is the biggest lying hypocrite you will ever meet.

Actually, people would be in danger as WIOD provides the best coverage in the area... sorry to let "facts" get in the way of your petty diatribe.

Ken made an appearance on Fox News' Hannity and Colmes to talk about this. He let everyone know he "is good" friends with Sean.

I had never seen the legendary Mr. Charles until I saw him on Hannity and Colmes. He looked nothing like I thought he would. I guess I forgot he was in the radio business because I always thought he would look like your normal suit and tie business guy but he looked more like a roadie for Pearl Jam.
