Ken Charles didn't make it to Dallas?

I heard that CC talk "daddy" Ken Charles was supposed to go to the big talk radio hoedown/shindig in Dallas over the weekend (he was scheduled to appear). Never made it. What's up with that?

It was excellent Holland, as was Talker's last week. I think the panelist selection this year was the best its ever been.....Tee-hee.....

It was great. I met lots of folks I've only talked to on the phone for years as well as seeing old friends and meeting new people.

I also think they made the right choice in eliminating the concurrent sessions in favor of the everyone-in-one-room approach, a la TALKERS.

For the most part, the big name talent was no where to be found. It was mostly up-and-comers. That's not a problem, just an observation. Doug Stephan was there, as always. The impressive Dave Ramsey owned the conference as he did last year by flying in dozens of PDs from his AEC group, which is always good for FTL as it's a huge injection of PDs who otherwise may not justify the cost of attending one of these conferences. (Ramsey appears to cover all their costs!) WBHP PD Stuart Langston was there again via the AEC - I always enjoy conversing with FTL affiliates. (WBHP airs FTL seven days per week.)

Does AEC stand for Affiliate Executive Council?
