Ken Conrad on K104.7

Indescribable to hear the legendary Ken Conrad doing PM Drive on K104.7!

After Oldies106.1, and other Oldies stations (that's showbiz!)

In my opinion, he's the best Radio Host/Personality on the station, & now he gets what he deserves - being on a 100kw FM signal!

That's a rare homecoming. How many of us remember that he did mornings on the early days of the Beautiful-Music formatted WEZC...on 104.7fm...and I think with 100kW in those days as well.

Later. . . .

It's good to hear him again, good to have him on a big signal, & it's got to be good for K104.7 -

He will definitely give competitor Lite102.9 a run for their money in the afternoon daypart & his voicetracking.

I didn't know that. I never listened to that station in the morning. I go back only as far as Chuck Boozer. I don't even remember why I quit listening to Love 97.

Mr. Conrad was last on WAVO 1150 (co-owned with the late great Mix 106, where he was also a DJ before and after it went oldies) and he was doing both morning drive and afternoon drive. It was nice to have all that good music with someone to tell us what it was. The music's still great but I don't know half of what they're playing.

Ken is a nice guy too and very easy to work with. Good for him! I hope CBS realizes what they have.

The radio biz can be brutal in this day of computers and PPM.

It's about time the added real radio talent to that station. Ken and Robin in my eyes are the only two real radio talent that station has had in quite sometime. I miss the days of T-Ed, Holly, Landers. After they left, it sounded as though the station was being run by a six year old. I enjoy listening to Ken, great sounding voice...professional. Same goes for Robin, wounderful smooth sounding fresh voice. Now if they would add more fresh talent K104.7 would sound like a top 25 station
