Ken Knapp

An FYI for those who knew him, Kan Knapp has passed away. Looks like natural causes.

Ken was a fixture at WBTU for years, and most recently was the night jock at WAWK in Warsaw.

Seems like a lot of former jocks have passed away recently :(

R.I.P Ken

I worked with Ken during his brief tenure at WASK in the late 90's. We stayed in contact for awhile after he went back to the Fort Wayne area. He was a nice guy. Sorry to hear of his passing.

He passed away in his home at Knapp Lake sometime between Sunday & Tuesday. The police did a wellness check on him after he didn't report to work at Walmart on Tuesday and that is when they found him.

I worked with Ken a couple of times and you will never find someone who would work more hours that him. He was always willing to cover a shift. He was a good guy and I am sorry to see him go.

Ken was a wonderful friend, co-worker and employee. Ken was exceptionally loyal and a bonifide hard worker. His overflowing passion for radio and relentless drive to connect with the audience was truly an inspiration. Not only that, he just had beautiful natural delivery on air that hit the sweet spot in the speakers. Post WBTU, I've kept in touch with Ken for years. Haven't spoken to him as much in the past 3 years (probably not at all in 2008-I regret that); God I miss him.
