Ken Michaels

What's the back story behind Mortgage Makeovers, heard Sundays from 7a to 8a?
Interesting that it airs on MULTIPLE local stations concurrently: KRTH, KKGO, KGIL, KABC, KRLA (who may have stopped airing it now), KTWV, KFRG, San Diego's KOGO, etc.
Parts of it sound very much like a brokered program with a hard sell for his mortgage service, but some of the usual indicators of paid programming are missing - such as no station disclaimers leading in and out of the show, station newscasts at the top and bottom of the hour, regular spots during some of the breaks, the live nature of the program, the pretty good radio skills of the host, Ken Michaels, etc.,
So, what's the deal with this show, and why would so many stations want to air it at the same time?
