Ken Parish Perkins fired at Startlegram

The sometimes-radio/TV reporter Perkins was dumped at the Star-Telegram last week amidst allegations of plagiarism. I believe Ken was the one who wrote the nice, very lengthy and final interview with Chip Moody back in Feb '01, and also does semi-regular media columns in Robert Philpot's absence.

I think one of the main issues is he verbatum copied a article from Entertainment Weekly.

Is the tragedy that he was fired, or that he lifted someone else's work and passed it off as his own?
