Kenny Chesney concert

Please help, I'm confused (not unusual). 94.9 The Bull has been advertising the heck out of the Kenny Chesney concert for the past 6 months, has given anyway boat loads of tickets on the air (I'm the recipient of a pair), sponsored a Kenny Chesney's Next Big Star contest where the winner opened up the show yesterday, and had a bid presence inside Turner Field. So why was it when it came to introduce most of the acts, it wasn't Cledus or someone from the Bull, instead it was Cadillac Jack from Kicks. I fully expected to see Cledus up there because I could have sworn I heard him say on the air that he was going to introduce Chesney (truth is, no one really introduced either Brooks & Dunn or Chesney).
Odd to me that the concert seemed to have two official radio sponsors, usually it's one or the other?

It sounds as if Kicks had 'Presents' rights, but not exclusive rights. Not uncommon with a go-rilla act, which Chesney certainly is these days. The promoter is no fo9ol... for a stack of tickets, he's got both stations in the format pushing his act.

I was at the Steppenwolf & Matchbox 20 this spring and Jordan Gray and Kate McCarthy introduced the bands. It was a pretty cool event. I won tickets from 95.5 The Beat but I sold then coz the Hon. Clark Howard told me I could get better seats by going to the 1/2 price booth. I sold them at a huge profit to some liberal, hippie, doo-gooder who was stoned. Anyway, that's what Sean Hannity told me.

kenny and kicks go way back, he works best with stations that have supported him over the years and have a radio audience to help sell tickets and cds.there is no reason for bull to even be at the show except for the braves helping them be there. get a clue people, big stars and big stations and big shows always work as together. bull has been pushed out of all the concerts because they don't help promoters or artist in anyway

Hi I'm Kenny Chesney, and me and station # 22 in the market............

Country Artist folks gave CC a little bit of gimme early on to see if the bull would stand on its own feet and because of not wanting to feel any reprecusions in other CC markets, but a year and a half in the bull has had numerous staff changes, Southern Rock, Easy listening - Real Comfortable Country, different TV campaigns that were not consistent, a no memorable promotions. Kicks has been here and will be here it makes sense thats who the artists give Presents to.

you forgot the rest: "this just in...world is flat"
if you're going to make stuff up (that you know nothing about) at least make it interesting.
