Forget it. Kenny's in the Saints doghouse - and he ain't no Buddy D, so he won't be out anytime soon.
You'll be lucky to find Kenny anywhere in NOLA media unless someone starts another sports radio station and needs a local host.

I concur with Mightynine, Wilkie's going to have a tough time. He's not the easiest to work with (so I am told).

At least as long as I could stand to listen to them drabble on about things no one cares about.
When are radio stations going to stop doing these stupid "remotes?"
How silly they must look, at a little table in the corner, out of the way, all by themselves, with a banner, T-shirts and key chains, talking about the food that no one but them and the car salespeople are going to eat.
And no one cares.

I think this was a plant by someone at WIST (Kaare, Eric, Dan Frazier) to get more people to listen. They had no intention of putting Wilkie on. He might outshine Kaare the Golden Child with his sports acumen, although he could never outshine Kaare when it comes to useless trivia (or the names of the idiots that voted for him).
Just a ruse...
ksw - I would substitute the word "pathetic" for "silly" (How PATHETIC they must look). The only thing, with WIST, there's no t-shirts (gave the 2 they had out during the 1st remote) and no key chains (couldn't fit them in the budget). But the car salespeople were grilling burgers and hot dogs...and don't forget about the Lil Dizzy's chicken.

As for Wilkie, I hear he couldn’t get over to the radio table because he was back and forth talking to the assistant to the assistant manager trying to close a deal on a ’84 Celica for a guy with bad credit. It got hairy because Wilkie spilled some lukewarm coffee on his SansaBelts, and one of the hot dogs he got from the radio table for the customer slipped out of the bun and rolled under a Tundra.

Larry - The board is about "opinions" not "vendettas". I have no personal axe to grind with Kaare Johnson. He is wasting what little God given talent he has. He is a lazy talk host, who would be and should be unemployed if he had a different last name.

For the record, I enjoy listening to Eric Asher (except on Fridays which is a waste of time), I've never been employed by 690, never applied for a job there, and they couldn't afford me if I did.
I've also made negative statements about other talk radio programs in this town, not just on 690. I've also made positive statements on this board about talk radio programs. That's my right as an American, isn't it?
