Kent apparently didn't renew his contract at 1290 KKAR. Perhaps it was bought out. In his final show Friday, he said it was amicable and that he was going to be doing some freelance stuff.
He was sideline commentator for Fox Sports a couple of weeks ago.
The NRG press release says:
Terry Mason and Clay Michaels were the successful morning team on KOIL from 1980 through 1989 and will bring their special brand of morning radio to 1290 KKAR from 5:30am to 9:00am weekdays. The new program, “AM Omaha with Mason and Michaels” will focus on the local community, and will highlight personalities, places and events that are relevant to the growing Omaha-Council Bluffs metropolitan area.
