Kent Phillips on NWA

Just got off the job early and turned on the TV. Whilst changing the channels, I caught Kent Phillips on NWA (Northwest Afternoon, not the rap group.)

He was filling in for Cindi Rinehart on her soap review. My jaw hit the floor.

I've seen Cindi before, but I never seen KENT like this. He copied her PERFECTLY. The wild gestures, the delivery and the whole bubbly chick thing. Then he and these other chicks were talking about hand lotions and make overs.....

I think I'll skip watching Cloverfield tonight. This was too much terror for one evening......

(Kent, I like you.....but just as a friend.....)
 
He's been doing that for a long time. Kind of a male Cindy Rinehart fill-in, which is really scary. My wife likes him better than Cindy. I caught it today in the office and had to stop and did a double take. The man is nuts. He actually seems like he watches soap operas. I like Kent too, but not in that way. I often wonder how this guy has the time to do what he does, but after watching today the better question is why does he do what he does?
 
That ain't the radio guy on tv is it? There are a couple Kent Phillips around.
One does mornings at STAR and is the PD over there still I think,
One owns a car dealership is on tv,another one hosts that show on KKOMO. all different
folks :) The radio guy also has a brother at KBSG I think. Funny that people
think it is all one guy ;D That soap opera stuff is terrifying especially when a guy
does it ;)

Let me help you out there cowboy.....

Kent Phillips is the PD at Star. He does the AM Show as part of Kent and Allen in the Morning, a long running highly respected and rated morning show in Seattle. Kent also does the Northwest Afternoon show on KOMO TV 4 and at times will fill in for Cindi on the Soap Scoop. Kent has been involved in local theater from acting, directing and producing. He was and not sure if he still consults other radio stations around the country. Yes his brother is Fastlane on KBSG.

Kent is a well respected family man and serves in the community on many levels.

Oh yeah and it's not KENT Phillips who owns Car Pros.....Look a little closed and listen next time there buckaroo...it's KEN Phillips of CAR PRO's no "T" on the end of his name.

No ones questioning he's a good guy and popular and doesn't own car dealerships and all that. It's just weird to see a straight guy so enthusiastic over soaps and makeovers........
 
Kent Phillips like previously stated is the "Kent" in "Kent and Alan" on Star (One of the few stations still owned by Fisher)

He is also the co-host and fill in soap person on KOMO's NWA (also owned by Fisher)

He has a lot of stuff goin for him.
 
For an older guy is appealing to women with the ya ya factor. He looks kinda like Harrison Ford does now. Ford is about 60. For this lady's money he is focused more on TV and less on STAR given the train wreck format on STAR this year.
His future is TV doing soap opera and hosting stuff. The radio show is past its prime and new talent like
Monti or country shows like Fitz will soon force change to KPLZ. Look at KISS's number since MOvin arrived.
