KEOM Question

I remember as kids listening to "Someone Saved My Life Tonight" just so we could hear him sing "it's 4:00 in the morning dammit." And of course the ever-dirty "Shakedown Cruise" by Jay Ferguson.

The captain laughs, he says,
"You boys want some sex?"
You can squeeze the sails,
You can lick the decks"

HA! Same here, but with a different song from the same era: "Walk This Way." The part about "Hey diddle diddle, put your kitty in the middle..." Except we thought it was a "T" instead of a "K" in "kitty." I think we'd have gotten a bigger charge out of "kitty," looking back now...

Oh, and "Blinded By the Light"..."wrapped up like a deuce..." was substituted for a feminine product (which it really does sound like what he says!)

And "Tonight's the Night" was banned by some stations because of the line, "Spread your wings and let me come inside..."

A little ditty that got airplay in the summer of 1978 on K-104 and KNOK was "Dukey Stick" by George Duke (Duke, later of the much more tame "Sweet Baby" in 1981 with Stanley Clarke.) Allusions to his "magic wand": "Spittin' fire or make it rain/But most of all it can make you spread your wings and fly away."

Whew, somebody hand me my fan...I'm blushing... :-[

Let's not forget "Tighten Up" by Archie Bell & The Drells.

As Forrest Gump would say, "that's all I've got to say about that." ;)

Hahaha funny :) When I had my internet station on Live365 several years ago, a fellow broadcaster over there said there wasn't enough bass response in my broadcast. So anytime I entered the L365 chat room, if that broadcaster was there he would always say "Turn Up the Bass!" ;D
