KEOM's playlist become hard rock?

Been a faithful listener to KEOM for over 10 years...and it seems that since the new year began...their music format has changed a bit.

Not really hearing the usual music they have been playing for years..like the bubble gum Top 40 music from the 70s like...Supertramp or Andrew Gold...or James Tayor songs.

All of the sudden...the music has turned to hard rock...or at least...harder rock than they usually play.

Just the music that I have heard tonight.....KISS-Rock n roll all night....Heart-Barracuda...Patti Smith Group-Because the night....Alice Cooper-School's Out.

Not sure if they are even playing the bubble gum top 40 music anymore...but if they still are...they are mixing in what I usually don't hear from their station.

Has KEOM changed up their playlist a bit? Or a lot?

I noticed the same thing. In general, I don't care for the way that station has been programmed for a while. It's just not as good as it used to be.

They have had the best playlist in town for years. Maybe the high schoolers watched the Twisted Sister Video too many times, and decided that they too "wanna rock"

Since I heard "Clair" by Gilbert Osullivan a couple mornings back, I would say that they are still playing some of the soft, poppier stuff.

Personally, I think it is great to hear both pop and rock on KEOM, since I heard both together growing up in the seventies...
