KERA PB 13.2

It's about time that KERA got a subchannel. "KERA PB" is showing nothing but requires a re-scan in order to get it. At least there is PSIP data with the good ole "DTV Program" as the title.

It's PBS World with the logo saying "KERA World" and a another sub is 13.3 KERA DF simulcast of 13.2

No "V-me" on a PBS subchannel? PBS en espanol? Interesting. We have no "world" in Houston. What programs are available on PBS World?

What's really a trip is I sent an email to KERA a few weeks ago asking were they going to put any PBS programming (i.e. PBS World, Create, etc.) on their sub-channels and they said they would be doing that in the near future, which made me think it would take about 5 years or so for them to add the programming when they said that. I never imagined they would add it so soon. It seems like most of the PBS stations I've seen in different cities according to their schedules have PBS programming on sub-channels and KERA was late jumping on that bandwagon, glad to see they're somewhat getting their act together. They could've saved money by not buying KVTT to pair with KERA-FM instead of putting music on the sub-channels for the station.

I see the 13.3 that KERA is simulcasting KERA World 13.2, I'm hoping that's not permanent and that they'll put something else on there such Create or the PBS digital channels.

Anyone know if there is any chance PBS Sprout will make it on 13.3, or is that reserved for cable/satellite services? It'd be popular at my house: Not sure about the rest of North Texas. :)

Sprout is a joint venture with one or more cable companies. It is not available over the air.

Last night they showed 2 episodes of History Detectives in a row.
