Keri Rodrigues turns WSAR against Somerset.

Can you summarize?

Keri is trying to get Somerset resident to converge on City Hall in Somerset, more or less in protest of the Sexual harrasment suits a fwe of the town's employees are facing from females working for the town.
 
I read the story and have been following it.
One woman says she was being 'sexually harrassed'. All the other men and women
say shes lieing. Ofcourse, she was awarded 2.7 million dollars. That will bancrupt Somerset.
Keri, ( Crazied Feminist that she is) is bashing the town officials and workers.
She is holding some kind of a half assed rally.
How long before the Karams fire her?
How long before sponcers bail?
I m sure the National org for Women will be there.
Maybe they can support the station.
ha ha har.

SOMERSET — Reacting to a daily barrage of talk-show allegations that the town Highway Department has been — and may still be — a bastion of pornography and sexual assault, two recent female employees said yesterday they have seen no evidence of any sexual material at the department and insisted that they have been treated with nothing but respect by workers there.

That is some serious allegation for her to make. She sits in her office screwing around on myspace while her station website looks like an unfinished piece of dung. Who is she to criticize anybody for wasting time? She is a wacked out broad.

I just got of the phone with someone who worked with Keri at a Providence station.

I was told Keri is a very dangerous person, No Lie! That Keri is probably upset 'she' didn't think
of going to the police or a Lawyer to bring a case against someome, 'anyone' for a big cash day.
Like the Sommerset woman.

I have heard this OVER and OVER about her. Makes a guy not want to be in the business, thats sad.

I've dealt with Keri online. She certainly is not Ms. Pleasing personality. She's probably going to be sued, fired or both.
 
If you only add "some people say", you can get a job on Fox or the CBS Evening news.

its the return of Dr. Frist diagnosing Teri Sciavo again but in local form as Dr. Skynet performed his (non) expert analysis of Keri.......

Get off of it, calling for civil action is only a crime in RW world.....this thread reeks of disagreement with her stance, not the legality of her stance on the radio waves. However, you would lick Sean Hannity's shoes or John D's if he said oh, do something similar to something in the area you would want people to go up against.

Now all we need to cap this is a walter comment.....about how bad it is for women to stand up for themselves (or another abortion rant) and we got the 3rd strike....

Somerset is in an UPROAR.
The Pro Jo reporter is a LIBERAL. Even he writes Keri acting out of line.
Come on Doc! Walter.
 
Did anyone notice that the plaintiff in the case against The Town of Somerset was awarded $2.8 Million? Yes, the town is in an uproar...mostly about where the money is gonna come from. They also seem to be running bake sales to buy tar and feathers for a town administrator on whose watch this stuff came down.

Funny thing, though, the local newspaper ran a story on this stuff under a heading that made it appear the uproar was in the adjoining town--Swansea. Folks there not real happy about that. Probably was innocent....just sloppy.
 
WSAR is in Somerset. If the town goes Bankrupt who will plow the streets in front of WSAR? Where will the money come from to fill in the pot holes that Keri drives over? No wonder Keri is upset. She may fall in a hole. lol
 
Les, Yes we spoke of the 2.7 million dollar award.
As I have said, I have followed the case. It is an OUTRAGOUS case of a Politically Correct verdict.
SEVERAL FEMALE WORKERS said the 'victim' was lying.
The 'victim' had NO evidence of her allegations.

Solely her word.

I have seen people Beaten, raped, and not get 100,000 dollars.
This whole thing is INSANE.
There is NO justice here , only recklessness.

Keri made a bad situation much worse.
 
I was honestly thinking the same thing the other Day. Keri didn't need to give this case the extensive coverage that she did. The station could have mentioned it at the top of the hour as they would a normal news story. Keri took what was probably a wrong verdict and decided to run with it like it was FACT. That was a mistake. That is clearly what is making everyone upset at her.
 
I'm not making any stance on which side is correct here - just to point out that Keri is apparently creating "compelling local radio". Again, whichever side you choose to align yourself with notwithstanding, you're talking about it. People are talking about it in the coffee shops, offices and other gathering spots. Isn't that what we strive for in local radio?

You may or may not like Keri for whatever reason. That's not my point here. As an out-of-market radio pro, it's my opinion that she's doing her job.
 
I have no horse in the race....just finding it hilarious that The Fall River Herald News, the authoratative newspaper of record for that area...on their website couldn't even get the name of the town being sued right! They did a major story on it naming an entirely diffrerent community.

Of course only us old folks will remember that the very same newspaper once owned WSAR!
 
No, she's crying Fire in a crowded room.

There is No talent to her pressing the P.C. alarm button.
People are talking alright, saying she is a Crazy.
I know Hector the G.M. has been getting an ear full.

Ill say you Like Keri for whatever reason. Those people and that town
are angry with her. She has gravely damaged the reputation of a fine radio station.
Her show sounds like the Raul Paul show. A looney tune. A circus.
 
I'll admit that I'm interested in seeing how this whole thing turns out. But this much I know. Keri does not have stress free days ahead of her for the foreseeable future.
