KERN AM LINEUP CHANGE

HEARD SCOTT AND INGA TALKING FRIDAY ABOUT THE LINEUP CHANGE AT KERN 1410. BUT I DIDN'T GET THE COMPLETE STORY. WHAT HAPPENED? WHAT IS THE NEW LINEUP? EFFECTIVE MONDAY RIGHT?

6-9 SCOTT ?
9-12 INGA ?

???

1410 would do well to hire Jaz or Ralph away from KNZR.

They do have a new Program Director since the departure of Blake Taylor.Maybe this new person (don't know if it's a man or woman because the person's name is in initials).I think it is B.C.

They also need to oust Inga 'I NEED ATTENTION' Barkes.

Scott Cox is doing well with the new time and extended length.

That would be DC...or Dave Christopher. Very sharp, talented guy.

I listened to KERNs new lineup during its first week. It seems Cox is handcuffed by the traffic and weather features. Inga is Inga just another hour of her.
Does DC do anything on air? I know Taylor did news and is now anchoring mornings on KMJ in Fresno.

While it is local, I am not sure if Cox will be able to cut into G.Beck's audience.

Reason for the programming change is simple: They have lost the News-Talk war to KNZR. Taylor has been gone since the end of October and DC has never programmed a News-Talk. Adding extra hours to the weakest shows on 1410 won't help them win. Inga is too self absorbed and Cox is just the same show everyday. DC hasn't done much to stop the bleeding at KERN. Have they replaced the news director yet? How many news directors have they gone through?
