What happened to kerri. On friday the stock guy said she was off for the day, then on monday he didn't even mention her. It's like she never existed. Seem as though heidi was given the same treatment. And doesn't the audience have a right to know what happened to folks they have been listening to. Even though I found her annoying. ??? ??? ???

It was in Norm's column yesterday that she resigned to go back to Los Angeles. I don't think I have ever heard of a station making an announcement when a jock leaves.
There is NOTHING on the KXNT site or Kerri's myspace about why she left. I just wrote Alan and maybe he'll have an answer but if it is as vague as the reason for Hiedi leaving I fear we'll never know. Bets on Hiedi returning?

I heard my name was mentioned here, so I though I'd respond. I will not be returning to KXNT. I am very happy to be at KDWN, doing my own show. I left voluntarily nearly a year ago, rather than sign a new contract, and sink or swim, it was the best decision for my life and my career. I have no regrets.
In defense of Kerri, she, too, CHOSE to leave. As for her reasons, you'd have to ask her. I'm not here to spread gossip or badmouth anyone. She's a very nice girl who doesn't deserve to be trashed on this board.

KXNT now calls their morning show "The morning source". They now combine "weather and traffic together every 10 minutes" with Alan talking about extremely light weight topics. For example today it was school lunches. I am surprised they are sticking wih such fluff, it worked for the first book or two but has since run out of steam.

Alan Stock used to fill in on KSFO in the Bay Area - which was/is very successfull with Lee Rogers and Mellanie Morgan and "Officer Vic" doing traffic on Morning Drive....they had about a 75/25 mix of politics to fluff with Morgan doing news, Vic on traffic. Unless the people's styles and views mix and clash just right, it won't work. So a Stock/Kirsh team wouldn't end up like a Hannity/Combs or Curtis/Couby.
The "Boss" (Jack AM-PM) was on the air just a month ago bragging about how they were "number one" with their format and they used to be number 32. I don't know what he is comparing...but Stock/Kassem was like a Mark/Mercedes want-to-be show.
Everyone told me that I was full of crap, but if everything was so great and "number one" why did it fall to pieces? As I mentioned before, Jack AM-PM uses a Clinton micro-management syle--not a Ronny Raygun "hire the best people for the job and let them do it" What a buttinski and control freak...he even goes to the management of websites to get them to delete my posts he doesn't like. I thought he was for "free speech" and against the fairness doctrine, and letting "ideas compete in the marketplace." A hypocrite as well.
Why did the winner of the 2nd radio star contest leave? why did Bob Massi leave? Why did Kerri Kassem leave?
Who wants to work for a jerk?
Next prediction? the Morning Fuff with Alan Stock the "Sour Source" will lose ratings.

KXNT was vague unless I missed it. Did she leave for another job, TV maybe? Did anyone see Kerri on the Jerry Lewis telethon, she doesn't have a face for radio.

Kerri was unhappy in Nevada. She was homesick, and wanted to go back to LA.
I finally found her website/myspace she or the person running her site said she left for a bigger job. Can't blame her, go where the money is. I doubt she was "unhappy" Destro as you assumed. I will miss her laugh.
