KETK is posting for a chief meteorologist. Anyone know what happened to John Adams?

Yes...he finally bored himself to sleep. They can't wake him up!

He sure has been in the Tyler market for a long time, but for the life of me I can't figure out why. He has Z-E-R-O personality.

They've tried to replace John at least once in the last three years, and wound up bringing him back. Perhaps this time they've found a dog, or maybe a hamster to predict the weather for them.

Or maybe they've sunk so much money into the Doppler Wars that we're finally seeing our first casualty.

Well they certainly can't be accused of sinking too much money into this "new-fangled" HD technology. ;)

What's so bad about John Adams? He might apparently lack personality, but he's always had a calm air presence when it seemed the sky was falling over East Texas

Did they do an upgrade to their Doppler after KLTV brought theirs online? I know they rebranded as having the most powerful doppler radar in East Texas, but didn't know they had actually upgraded anything.

John may be boring, but he is trusted.

Scirto is okay, but "Doc" Deason talks so fast you can never understand
what he is saying. But 19 does put up the wx notices on the bottom of the screen really well. They will have something running when 7 doesn't have anything at all from time to time.

I think John Adams = Mark Scirto as far as credbilty. Both have been there forever. Scirto has about 100000% the pesonality Adams does. Local News habits are HARD to break. I haven't lived in E Tx for years....but I'd imagine it's KLTV still miles ahead of KETK...and miiiiiiiiilllles ahead of Ch 19 or the Shreveport stations bleeding into Longview.

Very difficult to break here. Some have been open-minded enough to watch the others but for now KLTV/KTRE have the creatures-of-habit advantage. Even after my grandmother had knowledge of other local stations and after her big antenna upgrade (thanx to yours truly) so she could get neighboring markets really well, she STILL watched 7's news most often.
