KEV ON NINE

Okay, It's been almost 8 hours and nobody has said anything yet, so I'll have to.

I know it was for a good cause, but I have some observations.

1. It sounded very canned. The callers were set up and he had Jimmy on tape, a few times it didn't fire up at the right time so it was obvious that Jimmy wasn't really with him.

2. Typical Kev, "Friday Song", "Freebird" and a fake fight with some guy named Gavin who apparently is the boss over there. When you heard the bit, it sounded like they had hired him and he was doing he old "screw the boss routine"

3. He teased for two hours that he would have news on his radio future, like his bogus website, I'm still waiting.

4. No cross-talk with Karyn and Dr. Kelly, would have been interesting for them to discuss briefly what's happening at 'CKG. He didn't cross-talk with Johnny Mars, you'd think since Kevin is from Mars, they would have something to talk about. Or if they were going to be colleagues they could have hyped it a little bit. I know it was a charity thing, but publicizing Kev's new shift on NINE wouldn't hurt.

Point is Kev isn't going to NINE, Harvey's sticking to music, and Kev was aweful talking up those Carpenters songs. Now more than ever I think Kev is not gonna work in Chicago for awhile.
