I don't even live in Chicago and don't really care about this guy, but for some strange reason I constantly check out his website.

This guy constantly gives so called "updates" on where he is going next and tells everyone to listen to his webcast on Friday for more news on it. Then each Friday he tells listeners he has many great leads but won't elaborate on it one bit. This happens over and over again. Is this guy just blowing smoke up everyone's ass and no one has expressed interest in him.
 
Honestly, I am the same as you.

I never really was into his show but I am interested in seeing how things pan out for a major market jock out of work in todays radio climate.

So I find myself checking in for his take on the Johhny B / Mancow talk etc..

He has to be dissapointed that he is nowhere to be found in the "show talks" going on right now in Chicago.

Its an interesting thing to watch.

And even though I was never into his show he has to have talent to be in Chicago doing a show for so long.

It just goes to show how tough it is out there.

And your right as well about the shows always being dissapointing. I tune in hoping to hear some interesting news or information and end up just hearing his puppet voices??

Whatever, still interesting but eventually I will just not care.

I give it a couple more months of interest.

I think Kev has a very loyal fan base and tries to keep everyone informed as to what might be next. He is a very down to earth guy and is probably trying to keep in touch with his listners. He may never have had the highest ratings in Chicago but, I think there is still a place for him in Chicago. He's a talker and is probably lookin for a good fit for his type of show.

Yes, he knows he f$&ked up. I wish someone would cout my pay to a couple of hundred thousand dollars a year for a three hour shift thats 30% commercials.

He shouldn't have hired Garry Meier's wife to negotiate for him.

Kev is bringing his lame show to the Loop. All this Johnny, Mancow and Steve talk is B.S. We will see in about 5 weeks!
 
I sure hope Kev lands somewhere soon. My biggest concern is for Jim Shorts. According to kevhead.com, he is on a hunger strike and near death. :)

Stop! You're killing me! This comes across as some insider giving us the PR Flack treatment. I hope you're paid well as his "spokesperson" - is this Mo Driver?! or Jim Shorts!

I'm a listner, a FAN of Chicago Radio. A person who goes to live remotes and supports radio stations and personalities that make him laugh. It seems sometimes on this board that anyone who has made it Big in radio is always bashed by certain people. Maybe those who are jealous of the "Big Names" that have made people smile in the mornining or on their lunch break. So, yes maybe I am a spokes person for A guy that has made me laugh for the last 13 or 14 years. I get a kick out of visiting this board and seeing all the posts that bash Mancow and Kev and everyone else who is so "stail and boring" Yet they always seem to land on their feet,keep people laughing and oh yeah, make a butt load of money!!

I agree with you. But that is what a message board is for. Its a forum for people to bitch about stuff. Don't get me wrong, I love Kev. I'm 24, and have been listening to him since I was in junior high. (even though I shouldn't of) I grew up on listening to Johnny B/Kev/Danny on the Loop. Crazy times.

Right now Chicago radio is weird. There isn't that much talent. I like a morning show that has some spice. Like Mancow/Howard/The old Eddie & Jobo, before they came back. Doesn't it seem like E&J are a lot like Eric and Kathy in their cheesyness. I hope CKG doesn't go with Adam Corolla or David Lee Roth. I also hope they don't choose some local shmuck. We are the #3 market damn it. We diserve some talent. Unlike B96 who put Styles & Roman on the air. JESUS CHRIST! They are my age, do they diserve a spot on that station? Wasn't Styles a promotion intern a few years ago, and Roman had a crappy N*Sync wannabe group before? What makes them on-air DJs?
