Kevin Metheny is leaving WGN

Just a few weeks after Randy Michaels left Tribune Company as CEO, longtime Clear Channel and Jacor programmer Metheny is leaving, too, with the thanks of GM Tom Langmyer. He says the station has "improved our daytime lineup and improved our news coverage." He wants to keep the "hometown connection" at WGN, and is looking for a new PD, and auditioning for a new evening talkhost. Former Chicago City Clerk Jim Laski, a novice at talk radio, was one of Metheny's hires.

Metheny made famous form his bouts with Howard Stern at The Old 66 WNBC
