kevin moore's disco and moore is no more!

after 7 years the party is over at WLEV.saturday night live/disco and moore is gone.bravo to kevin moore for his great job.now he's doing sundays at cat country.

surprised no one has said anything for a month; the show has been gone almost that long..........even though i'm a rocker at heart; i was disappointed to see the show go,loved kevin's humor with the presentation of the music.............zzo i believe is the only 'live' fm on saturday night and that's sad............

I started listening when Bob Wallace was doing the Sat Night Fever show and kept listening when Kevin did his deal too. I have had many good times on sat nights while listening to those shows.

Thanks Kevin

bob did a good job with that show too! i tell ya WLEV is making a major mistake from keeping kevin moore's saturday night live/disco show off the airwaves.

I think it's a case of the new direction the station has gone in. A true Mainstream A/C for 2010.

The powers have decided that a more music and consistent sound round the clock is the way to go.

To complete the job, the station should dump Delilah and allow Kristy O'Brian to have a show again, even if it's at night.

With technology, that doesn't mean Kristy would have to be live.

It's great that WLEV has reached a sweet spot in their programming and music selection, and is now a format-leading AC station (well, except maybe for Delilah). But their audio processing sucks! On anything better than a clock radio or small table radio, they sound way too over-compressed and squashed. The ear fatigue from listening to all the "pumping" and "breating" in their audio is tremendous. The spectral balance and level of clipping distortion is good -- they just need to turn the compression and limiting down from an "11" to around a "7" or "8"!

Kevin's Show was a great Blast from the Past for me as I was a disco DJ for many years and had a radio show live from Castle garden Dorney Park in 1979 at WKAP under the name of Studio 13.I wish Kevin well at his new job at Cat.
