Kevin Ryder Returns To KROQ

Here's a surprise. Kevin Ryder returns to KROQ, although now in afternoons:

Megan takes over the evening slot formerly held by Kevan Kenny.
After bringing back "Loveline", is bringing their longtime morning man back really that much of a surprise?

One of the side aspects of this is will the Megan show on KROQ be a delayed version of her show on KITS. Previously they were simulcast.

Another question is if the music will change as a result of Kevin's return. Will afternoons be less music intensive? Will it be more like a morning show in afternoon drive? Will there be ways to bring back the Bean? Those are the questions that go through my mind.

Getting Bean to come back WOULD be a surprise. He is a different cat and I don't think he misses radio at all.

Perhaps it's a blessing in disguise what happened at Klos with Kevin n sluggo being let go? At least for Kevin. Seems like Audacy is willing to invest to some degree in Kroq. Time will tell...

Another idea would be to utilize some of the archive. There was a time when Kevin & Bean was syndicated. Those shows might still exist somewhere.

I've heard Megan is likely going to track nights on most of Audacy's Alt stations similar to what Kevan Kenney was doing.

Bean is very much still involved in radio. He's doing a three times a week subscription podcast with Allie MacKay, is one of the hosts on the syndicated Podcast Radio in both the UK and US, and does fill-ins shifts on some stations in the UK where he's living.

Sluggo also returned to Audacy returning to his old job as writer/producer at Jack-FM. He, Kevin and Marci Wiser (who is also at Audacy hosting for KITS San Francisco and KVIL Dallas from Los Angeles) are also doing a podcast together.

I thought Bean moved back to the States last year. Also where can we find Sluggo, Kevin and Marci's podcast?

Thanks for straightening me out. It seemed like when he left, he just wanted to go back to the bee farm and completely check out. He was pretty adamant about it (at least on the occasions when I listened) at the time.
