Kevin Slow Jamming Jame's show starting to suck

Looks like they took away his freedom and are handing him the 92 song playlist.

In that case, why bother having him on? He's costing them money, doesn't really fit the target and VTing Sean Andre, which is what they were doing before, would save them money.

You gotta love these mangement people, they're just boneheaded.

At least KHHT has a reason to be playing 300 Mega Oldies, Emmis doesn't.

Welcome to radio, it's been this way for 40 years. I doubt if he's even on "live" anyway. A job is a job and if they offer it, you take it.
But I doubt they're paying that much either. But really, the only guy on air in LA that has the power to play what he wants is Jim Ladd.

He is indeed live. I have chatted with him a few times, since he has returned to the airwaves. If you've been listening the past week, he had been in the Hospital for seven days and was not on the air. It was R-Dub and while he plays SOME of the stuff Kevin does, he doesn't have Kevin's superior knowledge of the slow jams. Now, like any other Big Company Owned Station, Kevin does have to adhere to some of their standards, but overall I think the show sounds good, when he has been there.

But, he and his producer answer all the phone calls and e-mails, during the show, so you can give them a call, if you don't believe that he is live.

Also, give him some time, once he has built his audience back to his "Love Affair" days, he will have a lot more freedom.

Just thinking from Radio One's prospective, now might be a good time to sell since Movin might go too. They're better off being the first ones to sell rather than the last.
