Kevin

Has anyone noticed Kevin Fitzgerald has been quiet lately? That is because he is recovering from a triple hernia! Here's to a speedy recovery to a guy who is going 100 mph! And, if you see him, make sure he isn't climbing any towers or lifting anything heavy... except for a beer!

I echo your sentiments Scott as Kevin's partner in WGMF/WZMF and WNKZ/WZKN...in wishing Kevin a speedy recovery. I became Kevin's friend while doing overnights at WNGZ in Watkins Glen because Kevin was usually out burning the midnight oil at 3am and I was the only person he knew would be up to call and shoot the breeze with. His station had a Cellular One trade back then so cell calls were free. I think at that point in time only us and 94 Rock had live overnight DJ's...this was pre-WINK 106 days...so we chatted...became friends...I worked at his station a couple of times and then became partners in a few start up or turn around stations in PA. Pretty cool!

Kevin's the guy that can do what most people can't do in radio...the moves and the making-things-work-when-others-couldn't. And he reports that he looks like he's lost another 15 pounds since the operation.

Be well Burb!

Ben, I concur. Hope Kevin's fine. He's a terrific engineer, an outstanding programmer, a sharp observer of the business and a great guy with whom to work.

i always enjoyed conversing with Kevin in the hallways at rock 107 about dis dat and de other ting..........really good guy and hope things are well, Kevin

Yes, Kev has alot of knowledge about dis and dat and de other ting. And his FCC applications can be interesting.... like the time he had to vacate a site because of killer snakes.... even had the FCC chuckling...

He has lost a bunch of weight, so I hope that helps him feel better! Looking forward to seeing him in LAS.

Thanks everybody. I'm feeling better....of course I did too much last week and was hurtin a few days! Better today. Still got one hernia to go to be fixed!...July (my doctor called the first two "monstrous"). So much for lifting Altec speakers! from my mobile DJ days. Thanks to everybody putting up with me being less than friendly the past month too! The bright side...between losing 38 pounds and not having my insides bulging out I look a lot better!

He's in such rough shape, he had to pick up his bottle of beer with 2 hands St Patty's day...or did he have one in each hand...I can't remember. ;D I couldn't know a better guy to work with, no wait, I couldn't find a better guy to call a friend.
