KEWB DJs from Oakland, California

K-E-W-B Channel 91 Djs... Gene Price, Peter Huntington Maye, Ron Lyons, Ron Reynolds and Johnny G. (Johnny Gilbert)???

Don't know what era your KEWB DJ's are from since I don't recognize any of those names (my Channel 91 listening was 1960-62 and again in '66 before KEWB went all-news).

Chris Borden is retired and living in Northern CA.

Casey Kasem - well, everyone knows what he's been doing.

Those are the only two I was able to track down. Borden was an alumnus of KTKT Color Radio 99 in Tucson and one-time PD I think. He lived just a few blocks from me and his claim to fame was his "Hot Times in Old Time Fire Department" club complete with a 1920's era fire truck he kept in front of his house. He also had a radio broadcasting school. He left KTKT around 1960 for KEWB and later my family moved from Tucson to San Francisco where I heard him again. Another KTKT alum, Buck Herring, wound up at KYA about the same time.

My KEWB was from 1960-1967... I did listen to Chris Borden and Buck Herring and liked them both. The DJs I asked about were from 64'-65'.

I was in 'Nam then. We didn't get KEWB over there. :'(

Gene Price went on to become a major country jock in the Los Angeles market. He was last known to be at an L.A. advertising agency.
