KEXP holds grand opening of its new studios

Absolutely amazing. Seattle listeners should be proud. I can't think of another city that could raise this kind of money for a radio station in this format. KPLU is having trouble raising half this amount.
 
When they began the drive, they said it would cost $15 million. So how much came from the state? I was led to believe that no state funds would be used in building the new studios. It would all come from donations, foundations, and sponsorships. Not true?
 
Still the fact that the station was able to attract over $13 million from non-government sources for a capital construction project and not regular programming is pretty good. As I said, I can't think of another place where that's happened.
