It's fun sometimes to have wordplay with semantics and definitions however active rock, alternative rock, mainstream rock and classic rock are the four main commercial rock formats in the United States.
Today's Cardinals shellacking has led to me to this conclusion: we really need an FM sports talker. It doesn't matter whether it's a South Mountain stick or not, just as long as the signal can penetrate through the walls of Warner and Hardy. 103.9 is an East Valley stick, their current format is tanking just like our so-called NFL team, and the CBS Sports network still doesn't have a Phoenix outlet. It's a no-brainer, just like the need for the Cardinals to clean house. ;D

How many times are people going to discuss this station and it flipping to <insert some format here>? The station has never, and will never work with any format. FOr whatever reason they are meant to be the bottom feeders in the Phoenix market. They'd be better off going dark and retiring the station.
